Last week, Spotify Wrapped finally made its appearance on our phones and presented its users with their listening stats from 2024. For those of us at Redhawk Radio, it was a lovely finals week treat! If you’re still shocked or surprised from your own Spotify Wrapped (or are looking to get an advance on your listening history for 2025), check out some of our top songs from the year for some inspiration.
"Second Nature" by Clairo
Eoin Young, Business Manager
It was my favorite song from Clairo’s album Charm: I completely expected this to be my top song.
"She’s Electric" by Oasis
Lauren Tolliver, General Manager, show host, writer
Sometimes a song just speaks to me so much that I can’t even properly articulate why I love it. I had this on repeat all year: The lyrics are kind of silly, but so catchy and the harmonies scratch my brain!
"Down and Out" by Genesis
Michael Tidd, show host
I heard this when my radio show got hijacked by 8-Track TeckHead for the first time: Even though I was scrambling to regain control of the show, I found this song to be enthralling. It made me think about how I’m at a crossroads in my life, much like the guy in the song - Phil Collins, man.
"All Your’n" by Tyler Childers
Cassidy Gordon, writer, show host, music committee member
The lyrics, Tyler’s voice and the music itself just create perfection.
"I Wanted You to Stay On The Other Side" by Summer Heart
Lainey Clary, show host
I would play this song on repeat while reading or studying, so it was my top song even though I discovered it only a month ago.
"Good Luck, Babe!" by Chappell Roan
Victoria Marx, writer
This is my top song because I found myself never skipping it when it came on shuffle. Even though I consider “Pink Pony Club” my favorite Chappell Roan song, there’s something about “Good Luck, Babe!” that makes it incredibly enjoyable and timeless.
"Echoes" by Elephant Tree
Braeden Pelko, writer
This song is just infectious with its psychedelic feel and heaviness. I catch myself yelling the chorus every listen because of how powerful and catchy it is.
"Dirty Love" by Mt. Joy
Bre Gerogosian, show host
Mt. Joy just has really good instrumentation and I like SoCal/Philly indie vibes. “Dirty Love” specifically has riffy vocals that scratch the itch - I don’t know what itch, but it scratches it.
"Cry for Me" by Magdalena Bay
JJ Wiparina, writer
With ABBA inspired production, "Cry For Me" uses lush vocals and cinematic progressions to take you on a human journey towards absolution
"Your Eyes Only" by ENHYPEN
Karla Garcia, writer
“Your Eyes Only” was my most replayed summer song this year! The group delivered crisp vocals and flirty lyrics, creating an addictive and groovy sound that I couldn’t get enough of.
"Die With a Smile" by Bruno Mars & Lady Gaga
Megan Harrison, Senior Editor, writer
I am positively obsessed with this song: I played it 110 times after its August release and it's a song I'll never get tired of. The electric harmonies, sentimental lyrics and soothing guitar make it stand out.
